INROADS Internship Program (IIP) Student Commitment Agreement

INROADS Student Commitment Agreement

This agreement acknowledges that as a qualified INROADS Candidate, I understand the commitment of having INROADS source my resume to our corporate sponsors for consideration of an INROADS internship/co-op opportunity.

  1. I agree and understand that I am not guaranteed an internship/co-op opportunity because my resume is sourced.
  2. I agree that if I am sourced to a client that I must inform INROADS of the interview and show up to the interview. I understand that if I “No show” for an interview my privileges to participate with INROADS will be revoked.
  3. I agree to advise INROADS if I receive an offer from any company I was sourced to.
  4. I agree to notify INROADS Talent Management at [email protected] if I am no longer available for opportunity consideration due to another opportunity outside of INROADS; or other obligation which directly interferes with my candidacy as an INROADS candidate.
  5. I agree to inform an INROADS representative if I am considering other internship/co-op offers; in addition to any opportunity offers presented by INROADS Corporate Client.



INROADS Student Intern Commitment Agreement

As an INROADS Intern, you are agreeing to the following ethical code of conduct as it relates to accepting your internship offer:

Renege Policy/No Show Policy (Ethical Leadership)


  1. By accepting my INROADS internship, I agree to stop all internship searches, cancel all other interviews, and notify employers who have extended offers that you have accepted another position.
  2. I agree to show up to work at my assigned date & time unless there is an extenuating circumstance that prevents me from honoring my agreement to INROADS and my corporate sponsor/agency.
  3. Implications of a renege or "no show" on my internship offer will result in me being separated from the INROADS Program and all services (IIP, iPROS, FSI, etc.)
  4. Implications of a renege or "no show" will have me flagged as a "do not hire" within my corporate sponsor/agency and their affiliated organizations.
  5. Notify my INROADS Regional Directors of ANY extenuating circumstances PRIOR to communicating with the sponsoring company [email protected]

Internship Performance (Professional Internship)


  1. Remain professional and represent INROADS at all times.
  2. Work the required (8-15) weeks as defined by your corporate sponsor/agency.
  3. Not allow classes and/or personal matters to conflict with regular business hours or INROADS requirements.
  4. Receive a rating of “Meets Expectations” or better on all work performance evaluations.
  5. Not to discuss my salary information with my peers.
  6. Upon graduation, give first consideration for employment to my corporate sponsor/agency if a reasonable offer is extended.
  7. Notify my INROADS Programs Manager FIRST of any intended changes in my work schedule.

Coaching/Advising Sessions (Year-Round Coaching & Advising)


  1. Schedule and keep MONTHLY coaching & advising sessions with my INROADS Programs Manager.
  2. Respond to phone calls, texts, and emails from INROADS promptly.
  3. Provide INROADS with an updated resume at the end of each internship and/or upon request.
  4. Ensure INROADS receives my mid-point and final work performance evaluations.
  5. Develop career and personal goals in partnership with my INROADS Programs Manager and provide any supporting documents necessary.

Academic Excellence (Year-Round Coaching & Advising)


  1. Remain in good academic and full-time standing at a four-year college/university.
  2. Maintain the cumulative GPA required by INROADS and my corporate sponsor/agency.
  3. Upload unofficial transcript to my INROADS file: Fall by Feb 1 and Spring by July 15.
  4. Discuss tutoring needs and options with my INROADS Programs Manager.
  5. Notify my INROADS Program Manager prior to sharing with my corporate sponsor/agency any intended changes in my academic schedule OR change in major.

Professional/Leadership Development (Training Workshops)


  1. Attend and participate in all required training and development sessions.
  2. Complete all required pre-work training assignments, as needed
  3. Complete the following required INROADS training:
    1. Welcome Call Webinar (new interns only)
    2. On-Demand Training (students have 120 days from acceptance of their internship to complete their training)
    3. Ready to Work Training
    4. Regional Kick-Off
    5. Graduating Senior Bootcamp (graduating seniors only)
    6. National Leadership Conference
  4. Responsible for expenses that might be incurred outside of INROADS or corporate sponsor/agency training (i.e. "on your own" meals, tips, cab fare, etc. - if applicable)
  5. Conduct myself at all training events in a professional manner (be on time, courteous, be on camera, and ethical).
  6. Abide by rules and regulations regarding zero tolerance for alcohol, drugs, harassment, discrimination, and other restricted behaviors at INROADS events.
  7. Complete all INROADS Training forms by the due date.

I acknowledge that I have read the INROADS Student Commitment above and I agree to comply with the guidelines, policies, practices, and procedures of INROADS. If I have any questions about any policies or procedures, I understand that I should contact my respective INROADS Regional Director. I understand that failure to fulfill any of the responsibilities outlined above or any other INROADS policies and procedures may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of my participation in INROADS. If I am terminated or voluntarily resign from INROADS, I will also relinquish employment with my corporate sponsor/agency.
